School on K-theory
and its Applications 
A two week school on K-theory
and its applications will be organized at the Indian
Statistical Institute, Bangalore from December 26, 2016 to
January 6, 2017. The first week of the school will cover
basics of : (i) Vector bundles, (ii) Characteristic classes
and (iii) K-theory. The second week will have
three/four mini-courses broadly on the theme of applications
of K-theory.
Prerequisites : A first course on algebraic and differential
topology.

receiving applications is September 15th, 2016.
Travel Support and
Local Hospitality : The participants are encouraged to
get travel support from their parent Institute. Limited funding is available towards travel
support of participants. Local hospitality will be
arranged for all participants from the evening of December 25
to afternoon of January 7th.
