Shanthi Sadhana is located quite close to ISI, you can come to the gate of ISI where the security person will be able to guide you. Directions to reach ISI are appended below.

The following rules are observed by Shanthi Sadhana Trust for providing accommodation:

 

1.       Arrival and departure days as full days of occupation. Day-night-day will therefore be considered as two full days for accounting purposes.

2.       After the interview the candidate will be allowed to stay only if accommodation is vacant and there is no necessity of it for other candidates who attend the interviews on subsequent days.

3.       In view of providing accommodation for the next days candidates for interview, the check out time will be considered now later than 4.00 pm and arrival of the new batches not earlier than 6.00 pm.

4.       The main gates will be closed between 10.30 pm and 6.30 am.

5.       Alcohol, drugs etc. are strictly banned in the campus.

6.       Silence is to be observed in keeping with the religious nature of the Ashram.

7.       Rooms need to be left clean and neat at departure.

8.       Lights, fans, water taps to be off before checking out rooms at any time.

9.       Breakfast is available between 8.00 am till 9.00 am and dinner will be from 8.00 pm till 9.00 pm only.

10.   Vegetarian food will be served to all.

11.   The cost of boarding and lodging per person per day is Rs.750/-

12.   Due to possibilities of occupation of same rooms by various persons on successive days, it is requested that every person requiring accommodation brings along his/her own bed-sheet/s, a bath towel and a soap.

ISI is located about 50 kms South west of airport and 12 kms South west of central railway station. It takes 1-2 hrs from airport (depending on time of day) and about 30-45 minutes from central railway station.

  1. Bangalore University.
  2. RV College.
  3. There is a bus stop adjacent to the institute, which is popularly known as Jayram Das bus stop.

Reaching the Institute:

If you are arriving by car/taxi then (going west) on Mysore road after crossing Bangalore University gate,(about 300meters onward), you will see a break in the middle median of the road. Turn right and pass the railway crossing. As soon as you pass the crossing you can follow the signs to the institute main gate.

From Airport: As you come out of the baggage claim area, just outside the terminal you will find taxis run by Meru Cabs and Easy Cabs. You can specify your destination as near R.V. College/Bangalore University on Mysore Road. Then follow the above paragraph with regard to reaching the Institute. The cabs are metered and the driver will give you a receipt for the fare paid.

There are air conditioned busses as well. You should take the one to Vijayanagar Bus stand and then take an autorickshaw from there to the institute.

From Bangalore City station: As you come out of the station to your left are the Prepaid Auto and Taxi Stand. Across the station is the Majestic Bus stand and you can take bus no. 222A and it will drop you at Jayaram Das Bus stand.
