- Typos noticed in any handout given out in class.

Typos/Clarifications: (From Quiz 5 onwards)
- Quiz 5:
Questions 1(b) and 4 are the same. Please ignore (4).
Question 2(e): Just ignore IT. It does not make sense.
In Question 6(a) the term "Range-space of M" is mentioned. It just
means "col(M)= column space of M".
Question (9), Should read: Verify Ax=b is INconsistent. Please solve
A^TAx = A^Tb. (You should get infintely many solutions). Pick any solution
and call it x*, and let v= Ax*. Then the prize question should read: what
is the significance of v.
- Quiz 6:
Question 5 in matrix A a_12 should read 8 instead of -1 and
p(lambda) = lambda^2 - 4 lambda -5.
In the last line of the same question:
it should read Null( A - lambda_2 I)
Question 6: (prize question) second line..there is a word "systems" at the end of the statement. Just ignore that.
- Quiz 6 solutions:
(26) is incorrectly solved. The determinant should comeout to be zero and hence the vectors would be linearly dependent.
- Quiz 8:
The numbers in question 2(b) turn out to be messy. The question is correct and solvable but things do get out of hand in terms of row operations while calculating the eigenvectors.
