  • Basic Information
    • Instructor : Siva Athreya .
    • Email : athreya@isibang.ac.in
    • Classes : Monday and Wednesday: 08:55-10:30
    • Office Hour : Tuesday: 08:55-10:30
During each office hour, I will try to give individual attention and answer questions that you may have regarding material covered in the course (lecture, Hw, quiz). Same zoom room as class.
    • Scoring : Final Exam(s): 40%, Quiz: 40%, Homework: 20%.

  • Textbook:
  • Homework:
  • There will be regular homework assignments during the semester. A selection of which will be required to be turned in. You are encouraged to work together on solving the problems but write up your own individual solutions. The course requires at least one half hour of study for each hour of class time. Homework will be given out in class and posted on the web. It is imperative that you try,(and write up solutions for), the homework problems before their respective due dates. The problems that will be given are a small selection so please do try other problems for practice from the texts.
    • Grading of H.W.: One question will be selected at random from those due and will be graded. There will also be points given for completion of the assignment (i.e. if solutions to all problems due have been submitted).

  • Quiz:
  • Every Wednesday, we shall have a 15 minute quiz in class. The quiz will open on Moodle platform at 845am and close at 905am.
