Indian Statistical Institute (ISI) is an academic institute of national importance as recognised by a 1959 act of the Indian parliament. It grew out of the Statistical Laboratory set up by Prasanta Chandra Mahalanobis in Presidency College, Kolkata. It has by now became an institution well known for its academic activities in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, SQC and Operations Research, Library and Information Science, and Quantitative Economics.
One of the most prestigious college for mathematics in the country,our small community of vibrant and enthusiastic scholars has decided to extend our boundaries beyond just academics. Creative minds and energetic organisers from ISI present to you, the best fest we have ever challenged ourselves to create, CHAOS.
Our small community of budding mathematicians aren't just bookworms, and every person here has their own varied fields of interests and passions. CHAOS, thus is a fest for everybody, from artists to geeks. With an interesting mixture of events, from mainstream gaming and cultural competitions to the-ever-new puzzle solving competitions and lecture series, we have prepared a fest you would hate to miss.
