| Computer Centre |
|
Besides the individual computer labs attached to each department, there is a Central
Computer Centre, which is open for faculty members and students of the
Institute on all weekdays during regular office
hours. Facilities here include Internet, E-mail and a
bundle of statistical, mathematical and general purpose software. All machines are
connected to a Windows NT server, a LINUX server, and SUN Ultra Solaris workstation.
The entire campus buildings, including staff quarters, have been covered with the LAN (Wired).
The New Guest House, New Auditorium and Hostels have been connected with the Wi-Fi LAN. |

The Institute maintains hostels for male and female students within the Institute
premises. |
| Library |
|
ISI Bangalore is equipped with a very good library. The total collection as on
27-7-1998 is 23592, which includes text-books and reference materials in statistics,
mathematics, library & information Science, computer science, economics, and quality
engineering. The collection also includes a good number of reports, reprints and pamphlets
on these subject areas. The library activities such as catalogue, circulation, etc. are
now automated. |
